BIG HOUSE TOUR (Haíɫzaqv λiác̓I)

We invite you to delve into the rich cultural heritage of our ceremonial Big House. Discover its profound significance and immerse yourself in learning more about the history of our Nation and some of the traditions that have shaped our community since time immemorial.

Are you interested in a meaningful language and cultural experience rooted in the land?
Join us for an immersive walk through the stunning landscapes of Heiltsuk Territory where each plant tells a story. Summer weekday tours are available by request, please fill out a contact form.

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (especially for Medicine Walk)

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)

  • Water and snacks

  • Camera (optional)

  • Insect repellent (summer months)

Group Sizes: Both tours can accommodate small to medium-sized groups. Larger groups should inquire in advance.

Accessibility: Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs when booking, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Respectful Visitation: These tours take place on Heiltsuk Territory and within sacred cultural spaces. We ask all visitors to approach with respect, openness, and a willingness to learn.
